What looks like fresh green leaves glowing in the night is actually hundreds of parrots resting on a single tree 🌿🦜
In parts of London, large groups of rose-ringed parakeets gather every evening, turning ordinary trees into living green clouds. Some trees can hold nearly 1,000 birds at once as they return to shared sleeping spots after sunset.
Originally from South Asia and Africa, these parrots slowly adapted to city life and are now found across London parks and suburbs. Beautiful to watch, but their loud calls and fast-growing numbers have also surprised many residents.
Sometimes nature hides in plain sight you just have to look closer.
