🌕 Photographed by Kurdish astrophotographer @daryavaseum, this breathtakingly clear image of the Moon reveals thousands of crater marks and ridges illuminated by the Sun. The photo was captured using a Celestron NexStar 8SE with a Canon EOS 1200D attached.
This ambitious project required four consecutive nights of observing and photographing the Moon, resulting in a massive 708 gigabytes of data made from more than 81,000 stacked images.
The final image showcases the Moon’s surface in stunning detail with a resolution of 159.7 megapixels.
What part of the Moon would you explore first if you could land there?
